Rafiq is an innovator, change management and technology expert who is focused on uncovering the talents of others by sourcing and developing talent leveraging conventional as well as unconventional methods. Although Rafiq is a seasoned technology leader, he is most passionate about people and is relentless in developing talent to their fullest potential.
Rafiq was a key thought leader and technical leader in the early days of the U.S. Navy’s “Sea Warrior Project”. The Sea Warrior Program is instrumental to how the Navy is transforming its Manpower, Personnel, Training and Education mission. From ‘hire to retire’ the Sailors ability to manage their career life events, in an intuitive to the Sailor fashion, via their own mobile device is in the works. In this role, Rafiq lead multiple teams comprised of industrial Psychologists, subject matter experts and technical resources in order to create training and career path tools. The technology tools also reduced training time, increased overall efficiency and provided predictive analysis of personnel performance.
Rafiq has worked across multiple industries serving both domestic and international fortune 500 and fortune 100 organizations and states: “I started my career in technology supporting the HR function, which looking back, had a profound impact my value system.
