Public Affairs, Communications, Education and The Written Word

Dr. Jeffrey H. Moshier has spent more than 25 years in public service. While working for a local municipality in Texas, his responsibilities included administration, strategic planning, logistics, budgeting, and staff supervision. Jeff has collaborated with diverse city departments and outside organizations, in addition to volunteering with local, state, and national professional associations. During this experience he cultivated leadership skills in public affairs, communications, and education. His participation in multi-department and inter-organizational projects, also gave him an opportunity to interact with civic, corporate, and academic leaders, while making valuable contributions to these endeavors.

Academically, Jeff earned his PhD from the Public and Nonprofit Management Department of the University of Texas at Dallas, where he also worked as a consultant and lecturer. As a consultant he contributed to studies that investigated policy, diversity, fee structure, and departmental organization in local government. As a teacher he taught classes including, Ethics, Research Design, Marketing Analytics, Local Government Management, State and Local Government, and Intergovernmental Relations.

Jeff’s career began in communications where he excelled at writing. He has been honored with multiple awards for creative, business, and academic writing. Many of these recognitions are in the screenwriting genera, which he also taught in the adult learning environment. While working in government he won numerous awards for his work on informational, promotional, and public communications. Recently, Jeff has also written or edited several academic projects including various essays, reports, and book chapters.
